Job Description


Major Duties:

Responsible for the operation of quality processes, applications and analysis of data using statistical methods to diagnose and correct non-compliance situations. Develop and administer data information systems and audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction requirements in conjunction with other business disciplines using a cross-functional approach.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Act as the customer advocate during the product development and production phases of life cycle.
  • Analyze statistical data to determine capability of a process and/or measurement systems.
  • Support Kaizen events, complete monthly KPI reviews, weekly project status report out meetings.
  • Act as a mentor by cultivating a network of experts in the workplace and provide formal training and coaching to local personnel in new strategies and tools.
  • Implement a process compliance system and facilitate RCCA activities for cost saving opportunities.
  • Create and deploy a robust system to analysis COPQ and initiate RCCA to reduce rework costs in production.
  • Manage and initiate RCCA for Customer Satisfaction Surveys & Customer Complaints to ensure resolution and feedback to the customer.
  • Support the deployment of ISO/Nuclear audit program and perform audits as scheduled along with the facilitation of RCCA activities.
  • Evaluate procedural change requirements and make the necessary document changes in conjunction with process owners.
  • Responsible for validation of any new processes introduced into production and monitoring the effectiveness of the processes.
  • Collect and report on key indicators for Customer, Internal & Supplier Performance creating actions to improve when necessary.
  • Perform product investigations and facilitate RCCA activities.
  • Develop, recommend and facilitate implementation changes to workflow; improve quality management system, review operational performance and provide solutions both at ATS and critical suppliers as necessary.
  • Create and issue internal Corrective Action or Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
  • Responsible for verification and tracking of Process, ISO, RCCA, or SCAR requests.
  • Conduct process capability and gauge repeatability and reliability studies on manufactured equipment internally or at suppliers.
  • Analyze statistical data used to monitor quality performance to ensure customer requirements are met.

  • Responsible for driving success in accident prevention through implementation of Company programs to promote and improve Health & Safety.
  • Drives compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training by working with departments for scheduling, external training, and provides internal training for ATS specific program requirements including contractor training
  • Monitors and audits field related activities to ensure HSE programs are being adhered to
  • Implement and administers standardized plant HSE processes to ensure compliance to applicable government regulations as well as and corporate standards
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Coordinates communication of HSE regulatory inspection activity with site leadership
  • Participates in the development and continuous improvement of global HSE initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations and industry leading safety practices.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device.
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks.
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisors and assist in investigating accidents/incidents.
  • Local and International travel will be required


Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary technology diploma or equivalent, specializing in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • ASQ CQE or equivalent work experience.
  • RAB accredited Lead Auditor Training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quality Engineering experience is required with proven capability to increase profits and reduce waste in processes across many commodities and business types.
  • The ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organization, both orally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SharePoint and Excel.
  • Significant experience with ISO 9001
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
