QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR / MANUFACTURING
PHILADELPHIA, PA

Supervise the team and workflow in the Quality control department. Collaborate with other managers and team members to accomplish required task. It is the QC Supervisors role to follow and improve the standards as well as ensuring the accessibility, reliability, and performance offered by meeting the requirements established before delivering the service to the customers or any stakeholders involved.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Presenting, setting up and sustaining specifications on internal quality operations and daily adherence to those standards and to meet associated customer quality requirements and standards.
  • Hiring new team members for the quality control department
  • Deciding the needs of training or coaching and departmental Quality Certifications for the department team members is current and maintained as required.
  • Collaborating on developing quality control processes and standards in an organization
  • Implementing the processes for quality control for the reliability, functions, and quality before the services or goods are delivered
  • Managing activities related to quality, gauge certifications, and ISO 9001 compliance and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
  • Ensuring improvements and elimination of waste are made regularly
  • Maintaining the progress of works and processes related to quality improvement
  • Communicates with other departments, divisions, and customers as necessary • Establishing specific metrics pertaining to the quality of business
  • Monitoring the performances based on the metrics and standards established • Monitoring the schedules and operations of the related departments to ensure optimum flow of materials in & out of the inspection process.
  • Evaluating the performance and milestones of the department
  • Providing feedback to improve the performance and work quality
  • Establishing departmental scheduling to ensure coverage for internal & external customers
  • Responsible for annual department budget
  • Procurement and maintenance of department equipment
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Understanding of FARS/DFARS language as it pertains to Customer/DCMA inspection requirements.
  • Monitoring and facilitating NDT training and qualifications, in accordance with Corporate Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Scheduling and facilitating Customer and DCMA inspection witness activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from college or university;
  • 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic and Dye Penetrant knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
