Western National is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst I to join our team!

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to test and implement low-impact software application modifications in a collaborative setting with guidance from others.

This role:

  • Collaborates with various team members in troubleshooting application issues.
  • Participates in work refinement and estimation processes with the product team.
  • Prepares and executes testing on all new and modified code.
  • Works with product and change control teams to ensure quality deliverables that provide customer value.
  • Creates and maintains documentation that the product team or company defines as important.
  • Ensures timely delivery of projects and tasks and communicates delays and roadblocks with team and leadership as needed.
  • Collaborates with the product team to test application modifications based on routine application modifications and collaboratively defined requirements.
  • Creates, executes, and ensures maintenance of manual tests in all stages of application testing.
  • Solicits test reviews.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement.
  • Follows along with troubleshooting, issue reporting, resolution, and communication of urgent production issues.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Demonstrated basic organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all product team members.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of relevant Agile testing methodologies at product team level.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences at product team level.
  • Relevant education or training (e.g., bachelor’s degree, associate degree, bootcamp certificate).

What will our ideal candidate have?

  • Quality Assurance certifications.
  • Guidewire education and certification.

Compensation overview

The targeted hiring range for this role is $62,262 - $76,098 annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and/or may be considered for other positions.
