JOB SUMMARY

The QC Lab Technician is responsible for generating metrology, dimensional reports, sample boards, colorimetry, and generating/evaluating in-process measurements as needed in support of NPD and production requirements as directed by the QC Lab Crew Leader

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Review and evaluate 1st article samples generated by production, NPD, and engineering.

· Program and operate the CMM, comparator, and other QA equipment as directed

· Prepare dimensional inspection reports and provide feedback to production and NPD.

· Generate sample boards for customer submission

· Perform colorimetry checks and generate and distribute reports to NPD and production as directed

· Enter data into SyteLine ERP system.

· Support QC Inspectors to allow timely and accurate documentation of in-process dimensional checks

· Provide timely and complete communication with all appropriate departments and functions concerning the acceptability of NPD parts and production.

· Assist the QC Crew Leader with QMS/EMS management, audits, and updates as directed

· Assist with the compilation of QA KPI data

· Monitor and maintain gage calibration on all pertinent devices. Update written records to reflect equipment calibration status as needed

· Perform all other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

· Understanding of quality control concepts and processes within a manufacturing environment.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction

· Able to work overtime as needed

· Plastic inspection background preferred.

· Minimum of two (2) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

· Can work successfully in a team environment and is willing to take direction from others and assist with training and development of QC Inspectors

· Ability to lift to 35 lbs. as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
