Perform inspection of aircraft engine parts, articles, and components to ensure product quality in accordance with AARs Business Management System to meet all current regulatory requirements and to meet or exceed AARs customers’ requirements. Work as a team member with peers/lead/supervisor/manager on development, deployment and execution of Quality/Inspection department/work center related metrics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process incoming and outgoing material to meet AARs AS9120 and ASA-100 Business Systems Manual requirements, Customer Requirements and applicable regulations.
• Interface with repair teams and product lines to disposition non-conforming material.
• Follow Regulatory and Industry guidance to establish sufficient traceability of products being inspected to help prevent the introduction of counterfeit and suspect unapproved parts into our inventory and/or our customer’s inventory
• Inspector will be required to have a basic understanding of product certification from the Production Approval Holder and certification relative to products for return to service (airworthiness)
• Inspection of product can include but is not limited to document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life limited records, materials subject to electrostatic discharge (ESD), etc.
• Inspector may be required to review technical/regulatory data which may include but not limited to Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FAA Order, Code of Federal Regulations, etc.
• Ensuring that all work is performed / inspected to Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, Customer instructions, appropriate specifications, and standards, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or four years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
