Currently, Davion manufactures and distributes its products through two facilities in New Jersey and one facility in Canada. Our facilities have the capability of manufacturing shampoos, body washes, bubble baths, lotions, creams, nail polish remover, oils, soaps as well as powder products

Position Overview:

This is a full-time position that is responsible for directly assisting the Quality Unit Manager in Newark NJ

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection of manufacturing room, equipment, and packaging line (where applicable) prior to each stage of production as per pre-established SOPs
  • Perform Inspection and sampling of all incoming raw materials and packaging components to verify receipt of raw materials and packaging components
  • Maintain supplier’s Certificate of analysis (COA) for Raw materials and packaging components, received in the facility
  • Collect in-process production samples on packaging lines and transfer them to the QC lab
  • Assist the Quality department to manage and maintain retain samples program which includes collecting and entering sample information in the retain samples logbook for each production batch
  • Perform daily verification of weighing balance, top loader and floor balances in the facility Maintenance of standard weights required to perform daily verification of balances.
  • Perform periodic inspection on packaging lines to check components, product fill weights and lot code of the product
  • Record observations in master production batch records (Batch tickets) for QA Inspection- line clearance checklists, sampling and packaging label verification
  • Prepare pallet sheets and print case labels for packaging operations
  • Coordinate and transfer production documents between the two facilities on daily basis
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) according to current regulations and standards
  • Work collaboratively with Supply chain, warehouse, production and quality department
  • Demonstrates abilities for problem solving, working as a key member of a team, and motivation to complete company objectives
  • Assists management on additional projects as required
  • Ability to work flexible work hours
  • Should possess strong Microsoft Office (Specially Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Preferred Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Reports to Plant Manager and/or Quality Manager

Required Experience:

2 years In GMP regulated industry (Personal care/ OTC experience preferred)

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand (for extended periods), stoop, bend, walk and use hands to handle objects, tools, and controls, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee will be required to handle chemicals and solvents as required during job execution. Employee may be required to move or lift objects to 25 lbs. Employee will be required to wear appropriate safety gear.

Our Newark office is sanitized by an outside industrial cleaning company that treats viruses on surfaces. Our North Brunswick location has an onsite person cleaning daily. We have been an essential workforce and have remained open throughout the pandemic. Quarantine protocol is in place for both facilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
