Purchasing Manager Job at Placesmart Agency
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily planning and procurement. Issue accurate and timely purchase orders. Provide timely and accurate quotations to support projects and customer needs.
- Maintain complete and accurate part/supplier data within the Epicor ERP system, Country of Origin documents, and HTS codes
- Conducts periodic reviews with key suppliers to ensure quality and delivery expectations are met.
- Collaborate, along with Quality, on improvement plans for low-performing suppliers.
- Work with Logistics providers to schedule deliveries and receipts utilizing LTL, FTL, FCL, and small package delivery methods.
- Work with crucial areas to simplify/standardize processes, data, and commodity purchases to achieve overall cost savings, optimize inventory levels, and gain efficiencies.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Work closely with all shareholders to meet all needs to serve internal and external customers. Communicates issues/constraints proactively and effectively, leading issue resolution with a sense of urgency.
- Serves as an agent regarding change management and process improvement.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of work experience in Material Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics
- Systems experience Epicor, Oracle, SAP, master expertise in Excel required.
- Experience purchasing across multiple warehouses (globally) with a centralized procurement function
- CPM or APICS certifications are highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
