Primary Function: The preferred candidate will effectively carry out the procurement process, including the creation and placement of purchase orders for assigned goods, supplies or services and assist the primary Buyer with material schedules, follow up and vendor contact. The candidate will also conduct themselves in a professional and ethical relationship with supplier’s, resulting in successful support of departments and business units.

Responsibilities:

• Issue purchase orders to maintain proper inventory levels
• Follow up with vendors for to ensure on time delivery
• Assist as needed on purchase order issues
• Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
• Answer purchase inquiries regarding pricing, delivery, lead time, terms
• Address customer questions and concerns and refer to appropriate internal resources for resolution to achieve total customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing procurement experience preferred
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Proven track record of cost reductions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organization
• Ability to handle multiple projects and effectively prioritize workload with emphasis on multi-tasking capabilities
• Team Player who works well with all levels in and outside the organization
• Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness to minimize losses
