VirTex Operating Company, Inc., a diverse oil & gas company with continuous growth and service since 1984, has an immediate opening for a well-qualified, self-motivated Pumper/Gauger. The successful candidate will become an important team member, heavily relied upon and a valued employee supporting the VirTex team. MUST LIVE IN THE PEARSALL/ DILLEY, TX AREA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but are not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary

• Daily operations checks of wells and production facilities; provide prompt notification as conditions change; conducts production tests
• Performs minor repairs of surface production and injection equipment
• Maintain production equipment in good operating condition
• Maintain a clean and safe lease and wellsite
• Submits accurate daily reports of produced volumes of oil, gas and water
• Contacts haulers and ensures produced fluids are taken from the lease sites in a timely manner
• Witnesses and ensures accuracy of gauges, tests and run tickets performed by purchasers
• Assists with construction projects
• Maintains field offices, and company equipment including computers, vehicles, and cell phones
• Responsible for maintaining neighborly and positive relationship with land owners and regulatory agency representatives
• Complies with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

¨ Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED

¨ At least 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry

¨ Three (3) years of experience as a Pumper/Gauger

¨ Must have valid driver license

REQUIRED SKILLS

¨ Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal guidance

¨ Strong work ethic

¨ Takes pride in work

¨ Valid Texas Driver License and clean driving record required

¨ Knowledge of the oil & gas industry

¨ Good written and verbal communication skills

¨ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

¨ Must possess Basic PC skills

¨ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required

¨ Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and subject to randoms

¨ Experience working in an H2S environment

THE WORK SCHEDULE IS 6 DAYS ON, 2 DAYS OFF (6/2) This is day work with possible call outs at night. You will go home each night.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
