Public Relations Account Executive Job at Consumer Attorney Marketing Group
Consumer Attorney Public Relations, a division of Consumer Attorney Marketing Group based in Woodland Hills, Calif., is looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team of public relations professionals. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of public relations experience working in professional services. This is a mid-level position with a great opportunity for professional growth as the department continues to expand.
CAPR develops and executes media relations, branding, social media, and other communications campaigns on behalf of local, regional, and national law firms. The Account Executive serves as the primary client contact within one to four clients, under the direct supervision of CAPR’s Vice President of PR and/or Account Director.
Responsibilities:
- Build understanding and knowledge of the clients' businesses and their competitive environments.
- Provide strategic guidance and PR counsel on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and execute public relations programs to the benefit of your client(s).
- Demonstrate ability to effectively develop a full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports. Initiate implementation of media events, press. conferences/briefings, media tours, etc.
- Initiate implementation of media events, press conferences/briefings, media tours, in-person and virtual townhalls, etc.
- Develop editorial/journalist/media contact lists for press releases, feature stories, interviews, etc.
- Manage time to ensure that each client's needs are met within allocated budget parameters.
- Communicate with senior team members on client needs, expectations, concerns, and issues.
- Provide appropriate instruction to junior staff on projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is a must in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism.
- 4-6 years' experience with PR agencies or corporate relations, experience working with professional services clients is a plus.
- Experience working with and knowledge of local and national media outlets.
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Tiktok, etc).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including copy editing.
- Strong, established media relationships, legal industry relations a plus.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior employees.
- Self-starting, proactive professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally for client events.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
