ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):
- Interprets solicitation requirements or source selection regulations and coordinates proposal response strategy for high value, complex federal government and DoD competitive ($30-300M) or direct award opportunities.
- Assesses the solicitation and other proposal elements to determine the appropriate proposal schedule to meet requirements.
- Develop themes, discriminators, and write to incorporate the Capture Strategy.
- Conducts milestone readiness reviews to assess proposal readiness for color team reviews, if appropriate.
- Coordinates and manages content inputs; develops and executes the color team reviews if appropriate.
- Coordinates strategy and schedule with CNB-FS proposal resources: incl. Director of Proposal Management, Capture, Pricing, Contracts and Operations personnel.
- Performs compliance/quality reviews of documents.
- Coordinates final review with Contracts for CNB-FS Sign-off at the appropriate level.
- Facilitate the use of various proposal tools, work products, and techniques to create winning proposals that fully execute the win strategy.
- Participate in color team reviews.
- Responsible for proposal quality, final proposal review, and timely submission of proposal.
- Builds skills in proposal management, development, and publications best practices.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Leads and guides the works of others.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree and 7 years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good track record in managing the development of successful, large, complex government proposals.
- Direct experience with all types of government contracts and their technical requirements.
- Word Processing software, database software, spreadsheet software.
- Interpersonal skills; patience; problem solving skills; attention to detail; organization skills; accuracy; time management.
- Ability to Mentor peers in proposal management, development, and publications best practices.
- Facilitate the use of various proposal tools, work products, and techniques to create winning proposals that fully execute the win strategy.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance preferred.
- Cherokee Federal has suspended it’s COVID mandate. However, it’s important to note that Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. Therefore, Cherokee Federal has suspended application of the mandate and continues to monitor the government’s guidance on administration of any vaccine requirement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily performed in a climate controlled and professional office setting.

Salary range $69,000 - $158,000.
