This position will function as a subject matter expert for all relevant systems utilized in the distribution operations across the Kitchen & Bath North Americas network. Individual will work collaboratively with on-site operations teams to identify bottlenecks and continuous improvement opportunities to determine optimal technology solutions through existing or new systems, including: WMS, LMS, TMS and integrated automation systems. This associate will also be the primary resource to Troubleshoot system related issues and handle inquiries for K&B North America distribution facilities. This role will also be a key liaison between Kohler K&B Logistics, Kohler Corporate IT & third party consulting partners to resolve larger system issues that require escalation.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and support continuous improvement through systems initiatives which support KPl's in the areas of cost, quality, service, safety, and sustainability. This role will own the execution of the identified configuration changes within the system to drive improvements on the warehouse floor.
- Serve as the super user for distribution systems, including JDA WMS and Yard Management System (YMS) and Warehouse Labor Management. Troubleshoot system related issues provide first level support to the warehouse floor to resolve systems issues during daily operations.
- Implement enhancements to Logistics systems and tools. Ensure that all Logistics tools are being properly utilized and implement changes to systems and tools when opportunities exist to improve upon current functionality/uses.
- Support the development, maintenance, and deployment of training materials for all associates utilizing WMS. Lead “train the trainer” activities as needed, particularly during the initial go-live phases.
- Partner with IT Functional Analyst to perform updates to system configuration, test code changes, and provide early communication to operations teams to ensure they understand how changes will impact their processes.
- Lead or assist in warehouse or network projects, customer onboarding requirements/changes within systems and provide support for all other sites in Kitchen & Bath Americas network.
- Maintain/seek awareness of current and future technologies and steer Kohler toward a competitive advantage within its distribution network.
Skills/Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field, plus 4+ years of experience in a supply chain environment.
- Must have extensive experience with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably Tier 1 solutions such as JDA/Red Prairie, Manhattan, High Jump, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels within the organization and build credibility/rapport (oral, written and visual).
- Ability to understand both business processes and IT processes allowing the ability to effectively understand and communicate needs and issues to both groups.
