Full-Time Project Analyst

Position Summary:

This position provides the full range of administrative and Analyst support for the daily workflow of the various consulting projects of CALCO Consulting Group. This position requires collaboration with project team members on specific short and long-term project goals. The Analyst will play a key role in developing and advancing varied and complex research, technical assistance, and training solutions and contribute to the design of technical assistance strategies, strategic planning, facilitation, and training delivery, and writing technical assistance products like staff guides, online learning, web-based tutorials, virtual events, and reports. The Analyst will be responsible in fostering and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality products and services are delivered to clients on time and on budget. The Analyst must be highly organized, extremely detail-oriented to produce a high level of quality in the written communications and research projects. This individual must be proactive, able to solve problems while prioritizing tasks. The ability to “lead up” with colleagues and management to keep them on task in a positive and encouraging manner and a requirement for this position.

Specific Responsibilities of Position:

  • Writing and reviewing project and meeting notes, reports and other documents with a keen eye for quality assurance
  • Creating, organizing, updating, and monitoring timetables, project requirements, work plans, schedules, and progress reports to ensure that deadlines are met, and project resources are used efficiently
  • Conduct relevant research and draft reports as needed for multiple projects
  • Supporting the maintenance of projects and/or company data and records and ensuring that all documents are correct, processed in a timely manner and approved by relevant parties
  • Planning, organizing, and conducting research and developing conclusions, making recommendations; interpreting trends and results of studies; and drafting reports and studies
  • Developing research methodology, procedures, and tools for data collection
  • Working collaboratively with others and facilitating communication within the project team, across other departments, and with clients to maximize productivity
  • Support the scheduling of various types of meetings and events and coordinating the logistics for these meetings and events
  • Supporting the preparation, review, sorting, filing, distributing, and handling of important documents and correspondence related to the projects and/or the company
  • Assisting with special projects, such as process improvements and developing protocols
  • Assisting with developing, reviewing, packaging, and organizing business proposals for the company
  • Ensuring all legal and regulatory documents for the company are properly maintained, filed, and archived in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensuring that project and/or company resources and equipment are maintained and in good working order, and that office supplies are replenished and restocked
  • Completing other necessary administrative tasks, such as data collection, conducting research, and reporting updates verbally and in written form to management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a related field (education, public policy)
  • 4+ years of related work experience or master’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with MS Office products and knowledge of advanced features, functionality of the products
  • Experience with project management software
  • Experience in developing research methodology, procedures and tools for data collection, identification of erroneous or questionable data, interpretation of trends and results
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to work with all levels of a diverse organization
  • Ability to work effectively in informal and formal teams with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Must have ability to thrive in a high volume, deadline driven work environment
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with ability to change direction at a moment’s notice
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills with ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional manner
  • Reviews data to determine statistical accuracy of data files and reports identified erroneous or questionable data
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, dependable, and punctual
  • Keen attention to detail with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through e-mail (computer proficiency with advanced features in MS Office, especially MS Word and Excel)

Compensation and Benefits:

CALCO Consulting Group offers a competitive salary and a robust benefits package. The proposed salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00. The final salary will be determined based on various factors. Some of our benefits include:

Office Locations and Hours:

Standard business hours apply with occasional weekend and evening hours required when deadlines must be met. The primary work location will be remote with occasional commuting to the corporate headquarters.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment.

Travel:

Travel should be anticipated; however, the percentage of travel will be based on each contract's requirements. Additionally, there may be occasions when it is necessary to travel to conferences, client meetings, or the company's corporate offices in Rockville, MD, or Washington D.C.
