Project Accountant - Construction Job at IPS-Integrated Project Services
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include project setup and maintenance in accordance with contractual terms and conditions; review and adjustment of time and expense charges; billing; collections/AR reconciliation; and AP and project closeout. Your primary responsibility will be issuing client requisitions in accordance with construction contracts and inclusive of all costs. Partnership with Project Managers and the support team will be key in order to meet the overall financial objectives of the company and division.

Project Accountant or
Sr. Project Accountant in the
Raleigh, NC area. You’ll oversee all aspects of the project accounting and cost reporting requirements of assigned multiple mid-sized North Carolina construction projects or a single large project, daily interfacing with project management, client, and contractor personnel. You will support other related accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Rate Administration and interact with corresponding groups, as needed. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, the Director of Projects, and the Director of Financial Operations to support our growing financial operations.

Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance or Business Management preferred

4+ years of experience in construction or job cost related industry in accounting or finance

Understanding of the overall project execution process including budgeting, cost reporting and control, scheduling, and billing

Experience in the EPCMV industry preferred

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to manage a large number of documents and information

Strong analytical skills, knowledge of general accounting principles, and proactive problem-solver

Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel as well as fundamental skills with other Microsoft Products; familiarity with Timberline and Procore preferred
