The Mississippi Department of Mental Health certifies, provides, and/or financially supports a network of services for people with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. This Central Office of the Department of Mental Health provides the overall statewide administrative functions for the programs and services that fall under the agency.

This position is in the Division of Children and Youth Services and will serve as State MYPAC Program Coordinator. As the State MYPAC Program Coordinator, the incumbent will review applications from providers pursuing certification in MYPAC for compliance with the DMH Operational Standards; Provides feedback to applicants and reports progress to the Division of Certification regarding MYPAC applications from interested providers; Coordinates and schedules in-person certification visits for MYPAC providers; Provides a Written Report of Findings to the Division of Certification for each certification visit completed; Maintains updated MYPAC provider list for the Division of Children and Youth Services; Provides technical assistance to all certified MYPAC providers when requested; Participates on calls and/or in person meetings related to MYPAC services within DMH and with the Division of Medicaid, and other state agencies as requested; Conducts presentations and/or provides information upon request on MYPAC services; Coordinates or assists with the coordination of trainings that include MYPAC teams; Reviews all cash requests in the Division of Children and Youth Services and disseminates requests to designated staff for final review; Reviews and rates Requests for Proposals for funding requests submitted to the Division of Children and Youth Services annually or as directed by the Division Director; Assists with needs and tasks related to the annual Trauma Conference; and other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements: This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in MYPAC or providing behavioral health services to children and youth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,509.31 - $53,000.00 per year
