LEAP Innovations is launching an innovative new pilot (SEE), which will connect students to real-world career exploration and skill development experiences. We are in search of a Manager of Program Operations who will help bring this pilot to life at our partner schools.

Manager of Program Operations Overview:

The Manager of Program Operations is responsible for the management and coordination of the SEE pilot program across partner schools in Cook County and Lake County, Illinois. This person will be responsible for stewarding relationships across the student support ecosystem (school administrators, teachers, parents, providers, students) while ensuring program quality and providing critical on-the-ground insight to LEAP leadership to drive program strategy. Ideal candidates for this position are organized, self-starters who are comfortable working in ambiguity, approach innovation through a human-centered lens, and have seen success building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Operations (50%):

  • Ensures program benchmarks are being met according to schedule and overall quality of SEE experience for all stakeholders
  • Works with school administrators to identify and enroll students into the SEE program by executing a variety of marketing and partnership strategies
  • Manages student rostering efforts and supports account creation
  • Leads the the SEE student orientation at each pilot site
  • Preps agendas and other materials for regular progress meetings between LEAP and school stakeholders and attends meetings when possible
  • Builds and iterates on resources to support schools as they implement programming (e.g. flyers, trainings, handbooks, etc)
  • Supports onboarding of new pilot schools and districts
  • Proactively works to identify pain points and suggests modifications to mitigate challenges
  • Performs other tasks related to program implementation as needed and directed by the VP of Learning Innovations

Stakeholder Engagement (25%):

  • Ensures program is creating value for students, parents, schools and partner providers
  • Provides on-demand support to facilitators, students and administrators to answer questions, troubleshoot issues and connect stakeholders to additional resources where needed (e.g. technical support)
  • Supports trainings of SEE Facilitators, Success Coaches, school teams, and program providers
  • Designs and facilitates student excitement building efforts in partnership with pilot site staff
  • In partnership with school administrators, develops and executes school, family and student engagement efforts to build investment in SEE
  • Visits program sites regularly to ensure programming is running smoothly

Research & Learning (15%):

  • Partners with schools, LEAP staff, and other partners to facilitate survey administration and data collection
  • Utilizes and maintains multiple databases to monitor program metrics, student data, Success Coach touchpoints, timelines and other indicators to assess implementation quality and program fidelity
  • Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions in real time to mitigate challenges and improve success
  • Supports development and facilitation of qualitative research efforts including focus groups, interviews, and observations
  • Supports creation of reports for external stakeholders to communicate progress and outcomes
  • Leverages learnings to codify best practices and make recommendations for program and product enhancements

Opportunity Marketplace (10%):

  • Works with partners to ensure a seamless experience between SEE platform and their program platforms including troubleshooting technical, enrollment and/or access issues
  • Manages Opportunity Marketplace database, collecting information about program details, writing program descriptions, and removing outdated activities/links
  • Participates in curation process, vetting activities for inclusion in the marketplace

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and DISPOSITIONS:

  • Access to a vehicle or willingness to take public transportation to travel to schools in Cook and Lake County, Illinois
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in education, non-profits, operations or other related field
  • Experience with program and project management; experience with human-centered program design a plus
  • Knowledge of the Chicago and Illinois educational landscape
  • Enthusiastic supporter of career development and personalized approaches to learning
  • Eagerness to work in a flexible, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with a team; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, particularly in interactions with parents, students and school staff
  • Ability to work effectively across a variety of skill areas, including project management, communications, content creation, event planning and execution

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
