The Community Colleges of Spokane is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Assessment and Testing Coordinator in the Student Services Division at Spokane Community College.
GENERAL DEFINITION
Under general direction of the Testing Center Manager, this position is responsible for the coordination of assessment and testing at Spokane Community College (SCC). This position will maintain testing schedules, administer tests, disseminate information about SCC testing services, maintain records, prepare reports, and assist with training and directing the work of part-time employees and work-study students assigned to the SCC Testing Center. This position may also assist with other duties within the Testing Center such as reception desk duties, as well as working nights and weekends as required.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of SCC's proctored testing services including GED and certification testing. Tasks include: scheduling, processing proctoring requests, and administering online and paper exams, and ensuring all policies and procedures for administering tests are followed. *- Communicate with testing companies to establish testing schedules, ensure the proper implementation of policies and procedures, and enroll new proctors. *
- Troubleshoot technical issues, test software on computers, coordinate with testing companies' technical support departments and SCC Information Technology to solve problems with testing software and hardware, and assist with coordinating technology upgrades. *
- Process vouchers and testing invoices, depositing funds appropriately. *
- Create and generate testing reports as needed/required. *
- Train and direct proctors and work-study students to ensure the smooth operation of proctored testing. *
- Track budgets ensuring appropriate allocation of budgets/monies. Inform supervisor of budgeting issues as needed. *
- Compose written informational documents distributed to the public that assist testers, students, faculty and staff in the understanding of the assessment process. *
- Input information into databases and maintain files and records in compliance with the requirements of testing companies and following appropriate college retention rules and regulations. *
- Attend appropriate meetings and trainings related to testing initiatives and procedures including organizing training seminars to address staff and student needs. *
- May assist at the front desk and with the scheduling and administration of other tests. *
- Assist with referring students to appropriate faculty and programs upon completion of testing. *
- Model professional decorum and mutual respect in all personal interactions. *
- Support and advance the CCS strategic plan, and perform related duties as required. *
- Indicates this is an essential duty.

- The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and goals of the institution, and community and technical college system.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting a teaching, learning and working environment that honors diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge or experience with student information systems (i.e., PeopleSoft, Ellucian, Banner, etc.).
- Experience administering assessments including prevention of academic dishonesty and ensuring test security.
- Experience in a testing/assessment, student services, or related environment in higher education.
TOTAL COMPENSATION WITH BENEFITS: $54,078.
Total compensation is an estimate based upon adding the following amounts together:

Person hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of U.S. Citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States. This is an absolute condition of employment. An offer of employment will not carry with it any responsibility or obligation on the part of the District to sponsor an H1-B visa. In addition, the Community Colleges of Spokane maintains a drug-free work environment and prohibits all smoking in the college buildings and state-owned vehicles. Must be able to successfully work in and promote a multicultural work and education environment.

- Frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation.
- Frequent oral and auditory communication with others.
- Full-time schedule (12-months, 40-hours a week).
- 6-month probationary period; may be extended up to 12 months.
- This position is overtime eligible.
- Criminal background check required.
- May be required to work alternate shift.
