Production Planning Manager Job at Veritas Steel LLC
The Production Planning Manager employed at Veritas Steel's Eau Claire location is responsible for managing and controlling the master schedule of all areas of the facility. The Production Planning Manager works closely with the Project Management Department and the facility leadership team to ensure production is delivered a schedule to execute that will ensure customer satisfaction with project quality and delivery. This dynamic individual has a high level of energy and ability to energize others, is passionate for their work, enjoys problem solving and is focused on execution. This position requires a great deal of data analytics and the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner. The Production Planning Manager will be good at finding ways to improve performance and identify gaps in productivity levels between operations and estimating.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the development of the fabrication plans to align with the company’s planning software
- Coordinates project planning sessions to establish sequence of operations for each item type
- Creates and supplies cut lists and kit lists to production
- Assists with the management of rework and quality issues
- Coordinates the project planning by reviewing project drawings and estimates and communicates changes and gaps as needed
- Creates weekly dashboards that report out production performance against the estimates
- Active member of the facility management team
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative and functional environment where teamwork is essential to effectively and efficiently accomplish aggressive objectives
- Maintains active communication and feedback loops for all employees
- Requires daily entry for job costing and performance info the companies planning tool
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field, preferred
- Thorough understanding of lean and six sigma principles and applications
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills and Leadership ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
