JOB TITLE: Rewind Operator (General Help)
DEPARTMENT: Weave
REPORTS TO: Weave Department Manager
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Pendleton, OR

JOB SUMMARY:
Operates and monitors weaving looms in a textile production mill.
Pendleton Woolen Mills is a fast-paced vertically integrated textile mill, manufacturing superior fabrics and yarns from virgin wools and other high-grade materials to satisfy the textile needs of Pendleton's Menswear, Womenswear, Blanket and Home Divisions, other apparel manufacturers, and contract furniture manufacturers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Picking up Selvage
- Put out cloth poles
- Inventory yarn
- Put away and organize yarn, stack cones
- Relieve Operators on breaks and lunches
- Set up sewing
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation
- Ability to frequently climb, reach, grip, and grasp
- Possess a keen attention to detail
- Ability to read and write in English
- Strong Math skills
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for entire shift
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 5-35 pounds regularly and 75 pounds infrequently
Experience/Education:
- 2 or more years of production experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Noisy production mill with hearing protection required
- Occasionally use compressed air which requires the use of proper PPE
