Job Summary
We are searching for a Process Engineer in the area of cell design and process engineering to support and improve the production of cells. This position provides technical support to operations to snsure safety, cost, efficiency, and quality objectives are met. This position investigates and develops technical solutions to create and achieve operational improvements. This position works to trial and industrialize new or modified cell designs to improve Saft's position in the market place. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

All About you Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to all phases of cell manufacturing with the aim of reducing scrap, lowering product cost, and increasing productivity.
- Carry out industrialization trials to implement cell design improvements to increase performance, design standardization, and compliance of new specifications.
- Carry out cell and process development trials to create new cell designs and increase Saft's technology leadership.
- Provide technical support to quality teams during failure analysis and customer return investigations.
- Review and update engineering specifications and operating instructions.
- Provide technical support to new material qualification initiatives.
Requirements
- A B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Two-Three years' experience in a related field.
- Cell electrochemistry, manufacturing processes similar to battery electrodes including coating, welding, small part assembly.
- Ability to understand return on investment for operational improvement projects.
