Summary: The Digital Press Operator has overall accountability for all activities related to operating all digital equipment efficiently, safely and accurately. The Operator will play an essential role in helping Pointsmith achieve client satisfaction and meeting business goals.

General Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned as required)

• Adhere to the established digital workflow patterns so that work comes out of digital prepress in a timely matter
• Interprets job ticket requirements
• Protects the health and safety of him/herself and other employees by always operating in accordance with internal Pointsmith safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain production speeds and waste standards
• Materials and supplies management
• Perform Data collection and inventory controls through Pointsmith’s ERP system
• Recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not always involve solving the problem; only recognizing there is a problem and alerting the proper personnel.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Keep work area neat and clean
• Any other duties assigned by the Digital Supervisor

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements and Skills:

• Must be able to work 40+ hours per week and work shifts.
• Be able to pass a Ishihara Color Blind Test
• Good command of English language
• Basic computer skills
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of press operation and finishing requirements
• Sound mechanical, math, communication, training, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to communicate well with others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
• Must be able to read and understand written instructions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
