Position Summary
Assistant Teachers teach through creative play by modeling behavior. You will focus on developmentally appropriate education emphasizing emotional, physical and spiritual health. Always child-led, these activities will occur within a safe, supportive environment where children can explore, build, and apply new skills.

Responsibilities
- Through creative play, teachers focus on creativity and self-expression rather than academics via developmentally appropriate education, consistent with our philosophy and mission, emphasizing physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
- Offer guidance only when necessary, modeling good behavior and activities rather than forcing children to undergo formal instruction.
- Cultivate close working relationships with families to encourage open communication and engagement.
- Create a safe, kind, and loving Care environment.
Requirements
- You love working with infants and young children
- You are committed to each child individually
- You are adept in developing creative, lively, and interactive activities (child-led)
- You are patient, warm, caring, and loving
- You must be physically able lift up to 30 pounds and assume low level postures to interact
with children appropriately (you must be able to interact at “their level” every day, all day)
- You are CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to obtain
Education & Experience
- BS/BA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required, OR
- AA/AS degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, OR
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
