The Fellowship will train fellows for independent academic research careers. Fellows are expected to collaborate on established projects and are encouraged to conduct independent research with an emphasis on study inception, be productive manuscript writers, and apply for their own grants.
A breadth of resources and collaborative support will enable fellows to build their own research programs. For interested candidates, there are opportunities to develop qualitative as well as quantitative and statistical expertise. Salary is competitive with excellent fringe benefits.
The fellowship is led by Dr. Angela Fagerlin and Dr. Elissa Ozanne. The mentoring team has an exceptional track record of helping fellows obtain independent funding as principal investigators of NIH , PCORI , NSF , and VA awards.
The Department of Population Health Sciences provides methodological expertise and infrastructure to advance capacity for impact-driven research and support clinical professionals in providing better patient and population-oriented care in an increasingly complex health care delivery system. Through our research, education, and community engagement activities, we promote patient-centered health care and the delivery of evidence-based health innovations that improve population health and reduce health disparities within our community.
