Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a Plant Manager - Industrial Laundry to manage the Raleigh, NC., laundry facility as part of the Quality Textile Services team. We are looking for someone who is confident in decision making, can act quickly, and has excellent communication skills. The successful candidate:
The successful candidate must have at least five (5) years of commercial laundry management experience and must be organized, able to prioritize and communicate goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for all internal processes of the operation and provides outstanding leadership to the entire staff.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that a strong culture of safety exists in the operations and that a very high level of cleanliness is constantly maintained.
- Deliver outstanding business results by aggressively managing costs and constantly creating new value through efficiency improvements.
- Ensures outstanding service to customers daily by delivering on our commitments, adapting to changing needs, and solving problems quickly.
- Ensures operational excellence through effective communication, strategic planning and efficient execution of all processes.
- Is fully accountable to senior leadership for all results associated with his/her operation and direct reports and prepares for and delivers a monthly business review.
- Has a strong command of the financial details of the business and teaches others.
- Is constantly driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Can clearly articulate a vision and lead the team in achieving the vision.
- Delivers strong operational performance by ensuring compliance with our organization and regulatory agency standards and programs and translating corporate strategy into front line operational tactics.
- Ensures a positive, safe environment by driving compliance in employee safety, OSHA, and financial, workplace and legal requirements.
- Provides overall long-term planning, direction, and control to assigned accounts within a defined district to achieve pillar goals and key business outcomes.
- Leads recruitment and development of team, ensuring high performance, talent succession planning, and employee engagement. Ensures use of applicable rounding.
- Establishes and maintain effective customer rapport and maintains mutually beneficial business relationships with clients.
- Determines plan that optimizes financial performance and productivity by conducting operational audits.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Former industrial laundry required
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years progressive management experience managing a complex business with financial and operational responsibility for that business, multi-site OR multi-departmental.
- Requires previous managerial experience in commercial laundry.
- Self-starter, capable of leading, directing, and supporting a team in a diverse environment with highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen required to discuss financial planning, objectives and results.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to relate professionally and positively to both employees and customers with excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to *Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Spanish language skills a plus.
