Summary:

In this role, the associate will perform various tasks on hoods such as assembling and mounting lighting, running conduit, install fire protection piping, mounting panels, calking seams, welding components on hoods, grinding and completing basic electrical assembly.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties may include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary to support quality goals and objectives.


  • Ancillary worker must be able to transfer wheeled palletized hoods throughout the lighting, caulking, ansul and electrical areas.
  • Ancillary worker must be able to manually assemble and mount light fixtures, conduit, timer panels and complete testing procedures on electrical fans and lighting on hoods.
  • Ancillary worker must be able to caulk open seams and clean welds on hoods.
  • Ancillary worker must be able to weld, grind, debur and cut pipe with hand and power tools in the ansul area.
  • Ancillary worker must be able to assemble and install fire protection piping on hoods.
  • Ancillary worker must be able to complete basic electrical assembly processes for hood fabrication.
  • Ancillary worker must maintain a clean and sanitary work area and follow established shop safety rules.


Qualifications

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform any/all essential job functions.
  • Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance.
  • Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.
  • On the job training, training and certification in operation of heavy equipment, regular training and re-certification required.
  • Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams.
  • Use simple mathematics.
