Overview
The location for this position is based inside of the hospital and provides both IP and OP therapy services. Therapists may split time between the IP and OP settings depending on volumes. Outpatient OT and PT including neuro rehabilitation, orthopedics, and vestibular rehabilitation are among the services offered here. Inpatient PT, OT, and ST services are also provided to acute and subacute hospitalized patients. There is a great team of therapists in this facility with many opportunities to learn from colleagues. Experience in treating neurological and orthopedic conditions is preferred but not required. Occasional weekend IP coverage is required.
Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
- Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in physical therapy.
- If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
- Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
