Job description

St. Mary's Health System, a member of Covenant Health, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy! Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Tech prepares for dispensing prescribed medication and other pharmaceuticals, compounds, and medication and prepares intravenous admixture, intravenous medications, and chemotherapeutic agents according to professional standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medication for the restocking of Pyxis medication stations
• Prepare IV medications, IV admixture, and parenteral nutrition solutions using professional standards for aseptic technique
• Prepare chemotherapeutic agents using specialized procedures and equipment using professional standards and aseptic techniques

Education and Requirements:

• High-School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience preferred
• License/Certification within one year of hire required
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.89 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician License Preferred (Preferred)
