Our vision is to focus on the financial wellness of families and individuals by providing them with certified professionals for confidential counseling, educational services, and other solutions enabling our clients to meet their financial goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Financial Counselor Responsibilities:

• Interview our clients with debt issues via telephone, video, or in person to offer advice on improving their financial situation
• Provide financial counseling to clients seeking assistance with our diverse product offerings
• Determine available monthly income after living expenses to meet credit obligations and offer possible alternatives for repaying debt
• Evaluate client’s financial situation to determine if our agency’s Debt Management Program is a viable means of repayment
• Offer budget counseling to clients to assist them in managing and/or reducing their monthly expenses
• Participate in community outreach activities by representing Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Chattanooga(CCCS) at health fairs as needed.
• Evaluate foreclosure prevention options for clients seeking assistance with housing related matters
• Other tasks, as assigned by management

Must be able to pass the counseling certification exam administered through the agency within the first 6 months of of hire.

**Employee Benefits (eligibility based on 30 hrs+ per week): Agency pays 70% of base medical plan & premium dental insurance, CCCS matches dollar for dollar for a 403(b) for the first 3% (eligible from day 1!), employer funded Life Insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation, 10 sick days, 2 personal days, and 10+ paid holidays!
