Location/Division Specific Information

This position is focused on service delivery excellence for UnityTM Lab Services. A division of Thermo Fisher responsible for providing onsite services at customers locations. We provide services at over 400 customer sites globally.

This position is located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Must be available to work second shift: 11:00am-7:30pm
Requires proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

Provide support services onsite at our customers location focused on improving supply chain and research operations efficiency and effectiveness. We provide services at over 400 customer sites globally, which deepens the customer relationship and creates value for our customers through improved productivity, data to drive decisions, and lowered operating costs.

A day in the Life:

  • Collect & wash used/dirty Pilot Plant parts and equipment, drying, and restocking of clean parts to designated storage locations
  • Pickup and drop off dirty and clean parts/equipment to designated drop-off locations inside the Pilot Plant lab
  • Ability to use and operate parts wash machines (COP bath, SKID, Nalgene sprayer)
  • Fulfill requests from the customer regarding specific cleaning instructions or special requests
  • Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP’s & work instructions

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate Degree in scientific field or 2+ years of relevant lab experience preferred

Experience

  • Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred; experience in GLP/GMP environment preferred
  • Proven excellence in customer service skills
  • Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment
  • Computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • May be required to work independently at customer location
  • Extensive walking may be required
  • May pass through areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc)
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
