Lynchburg Automotive Group is looking for an experienced, hardworking, energetic individual to help manage our growing parts department. This person must be experienced in parts and distribution, must be internet savvy, detail oriented, a problem solver with superior customer service skills.

5 years or more of automotive parts experience is preferred. We are willing to hire the right person who is currently an assistant parts manager and train for parts manager position.

Candidate must possess an ability to multi-task and interpret numbers, be very detailed and thorough, and effectively communicate with others. No bad habits, please. Great work ethic a must.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working in an active environment and be able to implement new systems to better distribute parts to our employees and customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Motivated and fast-paced personality with serious Work Ethic.
  • Automotive experience is a must (parts sales, parts managers, estimators, Adjusters, service writers).
  • Excellent computer skills required (Windows, Dealer Management Systems like DealerTrack, eBay, and Online Parts Suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The qualified candidate will have excellent phone manners to commutate in order to get parts as low as possible. Must have the ability to multi-task and make good decisions.
  • Must know how to search for parts at the lowest cost using the internet.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial & wholesale accounts.
  • Assists in establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for the maximum turnover.
  • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Ensure that all returned or warranty parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
  • Assists in the supervision of the stock order procedures.
  • Ensure technicians are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as needed.
  • Oversees Purchasing of supplies & materials for Service Department.
  • Conforms to policy on the special ordering of parts.
  • Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  • Administers a new aggressive wholesale & retail parts program to produce a profit.
  • Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers.
  • Works with the Operations & Service Managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Assists in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.
  • Provides technical assistance to employees and customers.
  • Coordinates a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork.
  • Directs shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
  • Assists in developing sales promotions.
  • Seek out new parts business.
  • Enforces and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Accepts other responsibilities as requested by the General Manager or dealer principal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,783.29 - $58,749.77 per year
