Parts Counter Salesperson Job at Whited Truck Center
Looking for a motivated experienced parts counterperson for a heavy duty truck dealership to sell parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, and over the phone.
The essential job functions are as follows:
· Help determine and obtain heavy duty parts for customers as requested by phone or in person.
· Special order parts on an emergency basis when necessary and appropriate.
· Read catalogs, or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
· Maintain confidentiality of pricing lists and structures as required by company procedure.
- Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product features.
· Process service department requests.
· Process approved credits for customer when merchandise is returned.
· Assist front counter customers.
· Handle warranty or defective parts for customers in accordance with company procedure.
· Participates in all training programs made available. *Special projects. Must be experienced in parts/ heavy duty experience a plus. Salary based on experience
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years sales experience in business to business, equipment, parts or truck related sales very helpful.
Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information
Valid in-state driver's license
Ability to use Windows based computer systems, Microsoft Office excel/word, and read vendor catalogs
Excellent organization and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
