Position overview

Porsche Classic functions as a strategic sub-brand of Porsche responsible for all vehicle street models that have been out of serial production for more than 10-years. Currently this results in the earliest 17-models Porsche produced starting with the 356, while including our extremely limited 959 and Carrera GT models. The Classic business functions in 4 distinct business areas: Classic Genuine Parts, Porsche Classic Factory Restoration, Classic Partner Program, and the Classic brand itself.


Porsche Classic seeks an individual that is equally imaginative and analytical to recognize new business opportunities, conduct supply chain and inventory analysis, develop insights from numerous parts business data sources, generate reporting that creates transparency into the health of the business, and to advocate business solutions that make the Porsche Classic Parts Business more efficient. This position requires an agile thinker with a curious mind that is comfortable working with large data sets, experienced to recognize when it is necessary to pivot with the ability to improvise and adapt, can leverage advanced data analytics tools, and capable of creating new business processes while enhancing old. Must understand granular detail and the influences on the overall business at a high level.


Roles & responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:


  • Owner of Classic Parts Business data and reporting, to include regular monthly reporting on supply chain, inventory, and financial topics including margins.
  • Responsible for leveraging existing datasets to develop insights into the operational performance of the Classic Parts Business.
  • Through data monitoring, responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in the supply chain, to include inbound logistics, outbound logistics, and stock levels.
  • In collaboration with other AfterSales departments at PCNA and Porsche AG, provide support for budgeting, pricing analysis, competitive benchmarking, backorder optimization, sales objective creation, obsolescence planning, inventory optimization, and scrapping.
  • Analyze and compile competitive parts data to ensure the optimal market positioning
  • Based on the data insights support development of solutions to improve profitability and logistics efficiencies.
  • Lead special projects that drive Classic Parts Business into more professional, streamlined operations that better serve Porsche dealers and Porsche customers.
  • Responsible for the proper usage of, awareness of, and compliance with Information Technology security policies at Porsche Cars North America
  • Ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrates an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic format
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and assess how to manage the communication flow accordingly.

Qualifications

QualificationsQualifications

Education:

  • College degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or the equivalent education and experience

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in financial management or coordination, data analytics or business process development
  • Development of data visualization tools, dashboards, and executive summaries
  • Competitive analysis and margin analysis
  • Supply chain or inventory analysis and optimization, or similar experience

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise data as well as proficiency in data reporting tools
  • Ability to own projects from inception to completion, to include operational deployment
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that creatively solves complex problems and delivers simple, effective solutions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, building consensus from various stakeholders and garnering contributions from all involved parties
  • Internally motivated to critically examine legacy systems, processes, and policies that can be modernized to deliver more value to the Porsche organization
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to draft comprehensive process and policy documents

Percentage of required travel:

  • Minimal travel required

Schedule/Shift:

  • must be able to commute to One Porsche Drive at least 2 days per week and as needed for important meetings/work sessions
