Part-Time Flex Laborer Job at Land O'Lakes

SHIFT: Flexible Scheduling— Let us know when you want to work! Part-time, anytime between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM, Monday – Friday, minimum 16 hours per week. 4-8 hour blocks spread across production hours.
PAY: $20.60 after training
General Laborers/Housekeepers are responsible for keeping the mill clean, painting, reporting processing leaks, and completing all documentation accurately and timely. It is the housekeeper’s responsibility to maintain the facilities exterior and interior cleanliness.
The facility Housekeeper must be trustworthy and self-motivated. Housekeepers are required to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality, Production, Training and Housekeeping standards. The Housekeeper will follow all verbal and/or written instructions from Leads.
Job Duties/Essential Functions:
Blows down floors and/or equipment per schedule
Sweeps floors, cleans floors, scrapes
Dump back feed/Re-Stack Pallets
Removes webbing, trash, debris, build up on equipment, walls etc.
Removes bail, removes cardboard, dump trash containers
Use of blower to clean the entire parking lot as needed
Clear weeds around the facility as needed
Organize & inventory housekeeping tools
Will actively identify and report leaks
Document all cleaning activities at the end of each shift
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to work with limited supervision
Must be able to work with team members in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work safely and use equipment in a safe manner
Required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms.
Miscellaneous assignments as required by management
Equipment Used: Variety of hand trucks, boom lift, scissor lift, forklift, portable Pressure washer, bailing equipment and pallet movement.
Requirements:
Ability to multitask. Ability to climb and work at heights. Complete and Maintain Quality documentation per STAT Quality Standard Pass a forklift certification test. Follow all plant policies and procedures, with respect to SAFETY. Follow all plant policies and procedures, with respect to Quality. Follow all plant policies and procedures, with respect to Attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Age: 18 years or older
- Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and perform basic math.
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times without exception
- Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
- Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes
- Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
Physical Requirements regularly include:
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust and chemicals are present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
