Part Time Family Support Worker FF/FGS Job at Community Mental Health Authority

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Supportive Services Coordinator, will function as a member of a team oriented, Community-based intensive intervention unit working with children at risk of an out-of-home placement. In conjunction with the primary therapist and/or Wraparound facilitator, provides a variety of services to individuals and families. Typical duties include: mentoring; consumer transportation; supervision of and participation in leisure activities with consumers and consumer’s families; and assistance in the implementation of specific treatment plans. About the position….

  • Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D. Some college is preferred.
  • A minimum of six months’ experience with emotionally impaired children and families.
  • Expectation of minimum 20 hours per week, after school hours on weekdays, and weekends.
  • Ability to re-certify in CPR/First Aide each year following employment.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use

Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, and pass a Central Registry Screening annually. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $16.10 – $17.54 per hour. 20 hours per week. Monday - Friday from 3-7pm with additional weekend availability
