OVERVIEW
The Parking Team Member is part of the Parking Operations Team at Whitewater Amphitheater and is responsible for helping guests enter and exit the parking lots and venue property quickly and efficiently while ensuring a safe and positive entry and parking experience. This position is for the 2023 concert season and will require a commitment to be available for concert events on nights and weekends throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Always lead with kindness, safety and outstanding customer service.
  • Greet each guest entering the parking facilities and assist guests with any questions.
  • Communicate any venue policies and event information to guests as they arrive.
  • Process payments and ensure the appropriate amount is charged.
  • Validate complimentary parking passes and verify authorized parking lists.
  • Direct vehicles to available parking spaces while maximizing the available space and ensuring customers can safely exit their vehicles.
  • Place and remove all signage, cones, and barricades.
  • Ensure parking areas are free from debris and waste prior to and following event.
  • Assist with egress throughout the evening and direct pedestrians and vehicles at close of the event.
  • Follow all venue policies including social media policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Be friendly and personable.
  • Be professional and courteous with a positive attitude.
  • Be responsible with cash, handheld payment devices, radios, and all other provided equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and brief correspondence relating to each event.
  • Ability to exercise composure in potentially stressful situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for 6-8 hours at a time; walk various distances on both paved and uneven terrain; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; bend or twist; and talk or hear. The employee may be needed to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold weather, wind, dust or dirt, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

  • No previous experience in this role is required.
  • High school and college students are welcomed and encouraged to apply.
