Southern California gourmet food manufacturer and distributor is looking for exceptional outside sales representative to join our team. You'll enjoy calling on hotels, resorts, country clubs, convention centers and cultural venues in a protected territory with a supportive environment. There are many existing accounts, and a lot of potential for new business. We are seeking passionate, outgoing individuals with an appreciation for fine foods. This sales position includes salary, performance based sales bonus, car allowance, phone expense, medical insurance, and a great 401k program. You will need to have reliable transportation. You'll be joining the Premier Specialty Gourmet business in California and really make a difference with our clients. Priority will be given to candidates with prior food & sales experience and a real drive to succeed.
Sales Representative Requirements:
- Experience in outside food sales.
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Experienceusing phone and computer for a variety of tasks. Must have strong phone competency. Your phone will be your biggest tool while working on the road. You should be comfortable sending emails, texts, making calls, opening files, sending pictures, etc. in a quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed monthly goals.
- Make sales calls to new and existing clients.
- Must be willing to be available to clients outside of business hours and respond in a timely manner.
- Maintain a customer database.
- Build Client Relationships.
- Generate and qualify leads.
- Prepare action plans to improve sales.
- Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials.
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients.
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential clients.
- Be knowledgeable on products offered and be able to discuss available options.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Assess customer’s needs and provide an assistance and information on product features referring to Culinary Specialties catalog, website, and other product information.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and following up with management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
