Essential Job Functions (duties & responsibilities):

1. Use proprietary software to generate work order travelers according to customers’ specifications.

2. Communicate with customers in person, on the phone, and via email to gather information necessary for accurate and efficient order processing.

3. Act as a main point of contact for customer inquiries regarding order status and scheduling.

4. Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.

5. Help facilitate the advancement of all orders through the production process.

6. Identify customer issues and actively help to solve them.

7. Assist in shipping and receiving department, as necessary.

8. Bring any irregularities or non-conformities to attention of supervisor or management.

9. Promote safety and good housekeeping practices.

10. Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

Requirements:

1. Strong computer skills and typing skills required

2. Must be extremely detail-oriented. . . for example, not only did you notice the missing period above, but you also noticed the extra space in this sentence and it is truly bothering you .

3. Perseverance: must be able to follow-through and see a challenging task to the end.

4. Strong customer service focus; ability to problem solve, use sound judgement, and follow through on customer requests or concerns.

5. Mechanical or metallurgical aptitude necessary, to learn about heat treating and brazing for knowledgeable discussions with shop supervisors and customers, and for growth within the company.

6. Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.

7. Must be able to pass a DRUG SCREEN.

8. Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

9. Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb, stoop, and stand.

10. Work Environment: regularly exposed to heat, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc.

11. Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with customers and co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
