ISHPI supports the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) by developing, modernizing, and enhancing its enterprise applications. We provide sustainment services by maintaining, securing, and supporting the applications and migrating them to the DMDC cloud environment. We are seeking to hire an Oracle Database Analyst/Programmer.
Responsibilities:
- You will write code for database access, modifications, and construction
- You will get periodic data updates and import data into databases
- You will manage changes to table/column structures and look-up data
- You will respond to data requests and provide data as needed
- You will analyze and understand business processes and requirements
- You will collaborate with the team to analyze and understand current functionality and identify potential improvements
- You will coordinate and collaborate with DMDC internal and external stakeholders to review requirements and requested new functionality
- You will create and maintain user stories in Jira
- You will assist in testing and resolving issues as the code moves through various regions
- You will create and maintain technical and requirements related documentation such as requirements specifications
- You will create and maintain technical and requirements related documentation such as requirements specifications
- You will create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs)
Requirements (education/experience/certifications):
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass a Government background investigation for position of trust
- 3+ years of relevant database experience
- Experience with Oracle 12c RDBMS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Within 3 months of hire, meet IAT-I requirements or higher as specified in DoD 8570.01-M (one of the following security certifications, or higher: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP)
Preferences (education/experience/certifications):
- Experience in U.S. Federal government/DoD environments
- Prior DMDC experience strongly preferred
- Oracle certification
- Meet IAT-II requirements or higher as specified in DoD 8570.01-M (one of the following security certifications, or higher: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP)
- Advanced Excel and SharePoint knowledge preferred
- Java skills and Jira knowledge desired
Specific technologies in use:

- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, REST, Web Services, Node.js
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Log4j 2, Docker, Kubernetes

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $70,000 - $100,000 . Please note that any salary information disclosed is a general guideline only. Ishpi considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
