Optometric Assistant Job at Noble Eyes and Vision Center
Busy, fun, independent Optometric practice in Puyallup, University Place, and Tukwila, WA. We are currently looking to hire for a full time position for our University Place location. All offices are small offices where team members are cross-trained. This would be a primary position for a technician, helping getting a patient ready to see the doctor, IE tonometry, autorefraction, retinal images, special testing, etc... Current employees are long term employees and we would like to add another long term member to our team. Experience in optometry or ophthalmology and/or optometric/ophthalmic certification/license will significantly help as well as proficiency in another language other than English.
Responsibilities include:
o Explaining the testing process to patients, preparing them, and administering tests on visual capabilities.
o Contact lens wear training
o Perform a variety of tasks that support an optometrist such as depth perception, peripheral vision, glaucoma, eye pressure, etc.
Requirements:
o Good computer, phone, and keyboard skills
o Self-directed, with strong organizational and time management skills
o Energetic, positive personality; experience in working well with a team & the public
o Be available to work during business hours.

Salary listed is based on experience and includes bonus & commission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
