May perform a variety of tasks related to material selection, order processing, surfacing, coating and/or finishing.

Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet department standards for productivity and quality
Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks
Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination; good near vision and attention to detail
Ability to perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling, and pulling/pushing
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Ability to understand and follow procedures
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to walk or stand up to 100% of the time
May perform the following duties depending on the assigned function:
Stock lens orders, log lenses to trays, log breakages into the lab management system, stock the lens shelves, match paperwork and materials to trays, sort and deliver trays, pick lenses from the shelf for the stock lens orders as specified on work ticket- Receive frames, prepare frames to match up with prescriptions, verify frame information matches RX information, communicate with doctors regarding changes or choices, reprint LMS (lab management system) tickets
- Clean lenses, check for imperfections prior to the AR coating process, sort incoming and outgoing work, apply identification numbers using the laser engraver, sandblasts
- Drop ball testing/safety engraving, sorting trays, carting and delivering work, de-packaging lenses, folding work tickets, cleaning lenses, de-blocking, machine cleaning
