- Choices of where you work and when you work - because we all value something different. Hybrid work schedules allow for flexibility where you work. There is required collaboration in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but the flexibility to work from home the rest of the week. A unique 9/80 work schedule gives you the flexibility when you work. About the Job:
The Funding Supervisor will report to the Funding Manager and will be responsible for accurate and timely contract structure /preparation and funding activities in line with objectives and initiatives of TICF, as well as the OEMs, Toyota Material Handling and Hino Motor Sales dealerships. Re-engineer and execute funding strategies to proactively meet a competitive environment, first call resolution of escalated issues, develop methods to implement process improvements/problem solving, identify and eliminate defects, and drive department efficiency and productivity through daily metric management.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the performance of the Retail Funding team:
- Manage the budget for their assigned team within an OPEX ratio in line with industry.
- Lead enterprise-wide projects.
- Achieve all business goals and KPI’s as it pertains to Service Levels, Quality and Dealer and Customer Experience.
- Lead, coach, develop, and engage to build a high performing team.
- Monitor daily flow of incoming and completed funding submissions to ensure dealer receives funds in a timely manner.
- Build Rapports with Dealer Partners to review Dealer Scorecards as it pertains to Funding Quality.
- Develop industry peer contacts to understand trends.
- Drive individual, team and department efficiency and productivity through effective and efficient metric management.
- Data mining - high level analytics and interpretive judgement.
- Help Grow and Develop Master Data Management group to focus on Data Stewardship and Data Integrity.
- Ensure we help remain in compliance with all Sales Tax regulated by State.
- Drive associate workload/results, factoring in the impact of adverse risk/control issues. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute repeatable, standardized/efficient processes within the team.
- Direct the work of associates, including establishing and maintaining productivity metrics.
- Establish and maintain the processes or techniques the associates will use to accomplish their jobs.
- Lead change management efforts as new processes and procedures are rolled out to help associates successfully navigate the changes.
- Maintain high levels of team and individual morale through change and development.
- Interview, select, and train new associates.
- Recommend initial pay rates and recommend associates for promotion or other similar types of recognition or pay adjustments.
- Complete timely performance ratings for associates.
Working Relationships, Management and Decision Expectations/Authority:
This position has direct front line interaction with Toyota forklift and Hino dealers - all contracts are prepared, negotiated, and funded within the Retail Funding team. Key working relationships:
- Toyota Forklift and Hino Dealers.
- Distributors - Toyota Material Handling and Hino Motor Sales.

Legal/Compliance:
- As a Funding Supervisor, you have authority for wire transfers up to $750,000, to move money between accounts for a single customer up to $5,000, and refund credits up to $2,500.
- Approval authority to make post-credit decisions in line with the Credit Analyst level of approval (when the original approval was in Retail Credit).
Coach and Develop Associates:
- Regularly direct the work of associates, including making recommendations for hiring, firing, promotion, salary adjustment or other matters relating to the status of associates on the team.
- Conducting Career development discussions with all direct reports
- Planning and apportioning work for associates on the team.
- Partnering with business leadership and Human Resources to handle associate grievances
- Hold associates accountable that fail to meet productivity, attendance, or other corporate policy standards.
- You will be directing the work of the contract analysts, currently a team of 9 associates.
Qualifications You’ll Need:
Must Have:
- Customer Service Experience
- A./B.S. degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered
- Minimum 5 years of retail or commercial finance experience required, with previous supervisory leadership experience and certain financial authority levels.
- Experience negotiating at the senior level on business strategy.
Great to Have:
- Data Analytics/ Stewardship Experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and SAP.
