Assist with overseeing and analyzing the daily accounting activities required to maintain the company’s general ledger.- Assist in monthly reporting of financial results, including variance reporting to corporate management.
- Assist with ensuring the timely reporting of all monthly financial information for month-end close procedures to include preparation of financial statements for divisions/entities/projects and review / preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assists with reviewing the general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting
- Analysis of MTD and YTD operations performance with Operations personnel to explain variances of actual results to expected results (plan and/or forecast)
- Directs the preparation of analyses and presents recommendations related to margins, product mix, cost over runs
- Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
- Responds to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, regarding financial results, special reporting requests etc.
- Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
- Support Controller and President with special projects and workflow process improvements
Qualifications:
Required:
B.S. Accounting- Minimum 5 years of accounting / FP&A
- Supervisory experience
- Intermediate MS Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to consistently meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
CPA- Public Accounting/Audit experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- ERP implementation experience, Acumatica a plus
