The Online Community Manager will own community engagement and moderation across all social media platforms where our content is distributed, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the company’s daily social media monitoring routine by reviewing all comments and direct messages that come in throughout the entire day.
• Work a Friday through Tuesday week, with holiday flexibility, to deliver full coverage of social activity during those days.
• Be intimately familiar with our daily publishing calendar, and effectively capitalize on all audience engagement as soon as content is published.
• Support all new posts promptly by liking and replying to positive and engaging comments, which in turn boosts post performance.
• Make our channels a safe space across all platforms, and keep all our comments sections positive by removing or banning any explicit language, derogatory comments, hate speech, bullying, vulgar or controversial talk, solicitation and spam.
• Monitor and respond to direct messages on all social media platforms as appropriate.
• Learn and apply our brand voice across all interactions when responding to comments and messages.
• Document comments that may be valuable, such as testimonials and viewer stories that show we had a positive influence on them.
• Assist with additional tasks that may be assigned, such as generating social media performance reports for partners, helping to run social media giveaways, etc.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Professional experience in social media management desired.
• Working knowledge of the “back end” creator tools on social media platforms, such as Facebook Creator Studio, YouTube Studio, TikTok Creator Tools, etc.
• Working knowledge of social media management software (e.g. Agorapulse) a plus.
• Attention to detail and task completion, particularly for processing comments methodically across every social platform on a daily basis.
• Impeccable communication skills, a team player attitude, proactive at reporting results and any issues to management.
• Creative writing skills, with the ability to emulate a given tone of voice, and convey emotion and humor appropriately.
• Passion to build lasting, emotional connections between a brand or creator and its followers.
• Good judgment when it comes to moderating negative online behavior.
• Utmost work ethic, ownership, and sense of initiative that is second to none.
• Integrity and a positive, solution-driven demeanor.
