What You'll Do:
- The Oncology Medical Office Assistant (OMOA) is an expanded role covering responsibilities within the provider clinic setting and in collaboration with the revenue cycle team for diagnostic pre-certifications/authorizations and providing back up support for front desk operations and scheduling.
- Responsible for assisting in day to day operations in Medical Oncology provider office.
- The individual will perform clinical triage tasks appropriate to certifications.
- The OMOA assists with patient and physician scheduling and document management per guidelines.
- As the OMOA for the clinic, this individual predominantly serves the clinical area, maintaining patient throughput in conjunction with providers but will be required to cross over into the administrative areas when needed to provide appropriate assistance: Support front desk, Insurance, financial services and administrative operations when required.
- Perform task assigned by medical director and management.

Our Requirements:
- An Associate’s degree in Healthcare is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in general medical office is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
- Professional license is required. MA, CMT and CNA (with oncology experience) are considered appropriate. Majority of oncology related skill sets are OJT.
