We have an immediate opening for an experienced Office Manager to support our Los Angeles and Irvine locations. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising staff and overseeing the daily operations and support functions working in a law Firm environment. This is a perfect opportunity for candidates who have worked in a smaller law Firm but are ready to take the next career step in to an AmLaw 25 Firm.
As an Office Manager you will:
- Manage the workflow and performance of local office support staff (Concierge Coordinator, Legal Secretaries, Legal Support Specialists), including providing ongoing performance feedback and administering the annual staff performance evaluation process
- Act as primary contact with outsourced local office services account manager and monitor day‐to‐day operations
- Oversee the management of conference room reservations, visiting attorney and guest services
- Ensure effective coordination of all new hire and departure logistics for attorneys, staff, and agency contractors
- Design, manage and enforce office emergency policies and procedures
- Manage the local office’s business continuity process and ensure adherence to Firm guidelines and processes
- Manage the operational budget
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies and propose solutions
- Facilitate general office and facilities maintenance, repairs, and enhancements
- Envision and plan office events and activities for partners and staff, to include pro bono and community service initiatives
- Collaborate with the firm‐wide procurement team to manage and analyze local office supplies and inventory levels
- Plan, organize and implement office moves (internal and external)
- Serve as the liaison with building management, including managing the building and the Firm’s security access systems
- Maintain business relationships with local and on‐site supply and service vendors
- Provide operational assistance to regional offices, as requested
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least three (3) years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential information
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Expected Pay Range in Los Angeles & Orange County $130,500 - $166,650

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
