Salary: $70,000+ (Depending on experience)

Position is open until filled, with a first review date of December 6, 2022.

The Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) is hiring for a full-time Office Manager position, located in Annapolis, Maryland. This position is responsible for the overall management of a large executive office/facility within Maryland State government.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
· Answer all incoming calls to the office and distribute all incoming mail.
· Responsible for typing all correspondence for the office.
· Prepare mailings for special events and track responses, as needed.
· Assist management as needed with disbursements and reimbursements to the office account (balance check book, petty cash and support receipts).
· Assist with scheduled events in various capacities as needed (days, evenings or weekends).
· Assist with maintaining inventory records for the office and coordinate with other State agencies on special items and gifts within the facility.
· Coordinate the scheduling of public tours for the facility and work closely with management and volunteers to ensure tours run smoothly. Coordinate volunteer activities as needed.
· Other office and administrative duties as needed.

Desired Qualifications include:
1. At least five (5) years of office management experience.
2. Demonstrated work experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
3. Ability to work flexible and overtime hours as needed, to include days/evenings, weekends and holidays.
4. Ability to pass a thorough background investigation.
5. Financial or accounting background is preferred.
6. Ability to work well under stressful situations to meet deadlines.
7. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers and people at various levels within the organization.
8. A strong work ethic, self-motivation towards excellent job performance, and the ability and desire to work well with others in a team environment.
