We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join our team as our Nashville Office Leader and Regional Sector Leader.

Location: Nashville, TN

Position Summary

Join a group that cares about design as much as you do! The Office Leader and Regional Sector Leader is a two-part leadership role that starts with an insatiable desire to grow a firm in Nashville. You will build a team, leading by example, drive an exemplary design culture, and bring design excellence to all that you do. This leader will join our Regional Leadership Team and will work closely with other leaders supporting a work environment that fosters innovation while inspiring, guiding, mentoring, and coaching office staff. This individual will be responsible for leading and growing the DLR Group presence in Nashville, with support from Managing Principals, Global and Regional Sector Leaders working in the area. The successful candidate will help us leverage our current backlog in the area with the University of Tennessee system, Hines Development (The Finery), Marriott hotels and more.

The successful candidate will

• Have a passion and motivation for leading and growing a design team to serve the Nashville and greater Tennessee marketplace.
• Be extended an ownership opportunity in DLR Group.
• Be recognized and respected as a design expert within the industry and provide thought leadership and innovation within the firm as well as with clients and the industry.
• Promote teamwork and design excellence with the team you will build in the Nashville area.

• Attend industry events and improve DLR Group brand recognition through awards, publications, conferences, and speaking engagements.
• Have ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong organizational skills.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the design and coordination aspects of all design disciplines.
• Have ability to travel as projects require.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the A/E industry with 10 years (or more) of experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a design discipline, I.e., Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Planning or Business
• Licensure in the State of Tennessee if in a licensable discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to grow a business or business unit.
• A self-starter and capable of working independently.
• Proven ability to work with others in marketing and business development endeavors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pursuits and execution of design commissions within one or more of DLR Group’s core business sectors including: Higher Education, K12 Education, Workplace, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Mixed use.
• Familiarity with the Nashville business community and an established network of client and connections beneficial to growing business in Nashville.
