Title: Off Road Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary:

Drive a truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or other materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull levers or turn crank to tilt body and dump contents.
  • Move hand and foot controls to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to body.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Able to safely operate equipment.
  • Maintain safe and secure work environment by following company standards and procedures ensuring compliance with specified instructions.
  • Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns and keep foreman/supervisor informed at all times.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must have a minimum of one years’ experience operating a dump truck or similar.
  • Must have valid state issued driver's License.
  • Daily attendance.
  • Follows all policies and procedures and meets all performance goals.

  • Experience working on a construction site.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Follows instructions, commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Meet productivity standards; complete work in timely manner.
  • Observe safety and security procedures; use equipment and materials properly.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
