Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank (SDSEB) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at SDSEB is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! We are seeking candidates who have previously worked within a clean room environment, are comfortable with aseptic technique, and have an eye for detail. This position will work approximately 20 hours per week and focus upon processing and distributing autologous serum eye drops.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:

• Assists with production of autologous serum eye drops (ASED) processing within a clean room environment, duties include room preparation, opening sterile supplies, and proper documentation of information into a database and appropriate logs.
  
• Autologous serum eye drops are eye drops that are made from serum that is extracted from the whole blood of the patient in which the eye drops are prescribed for.
  
• Coordinates phlebotomy services and distribution of processed serum eye drops.
  
• Safely handles biohazardous human tissues and blood specimens and assists with disposal and required documentation.
  
• Performs inventory management through restocking, assessing par levels, and purchases supplies as needed.
  
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year laboratory/clinical experience required
