Location: John P. Musante Health Center

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage/oversee Medical Assistants and Nurses at respective site
  • Develop and implement staffing plans for nurses and medical assistants each month, as well as makes last minute adjustments to accommodate unexpected changes in the schedule.
  • Collaborate with other health center sites to ensure daily provider coverage is arranged.
  • Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems.
  • Provide for communication, documentation and follow-up of incidents to appropriate manager or director.
  • Respond to emergency situations and assist as necessary.
  • Orient and train new staff
  • Triage patient calls and perform nursing duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the Massachusetts Board of Nursing regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating care of patients and with available community resources.
  • Acts as a liaison between the health center and community service agencies and hospitals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: RN/LPN with current Massachusetts license.
  • Prior supervisory experience, positive attitude, ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Preferred: two to five years of Nursing experience in a Health Center setting.
  • Knowledge regarding HRSA, NCQA, Medical Home and other regulatory guidelines, and/or familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers.
  • Reliable transportation.
